Pedestrian Trapped Under Vehicle In Critical Condition

Delaware State Police are investigating a crash that left a pedestrian in critical condition.

Officials said at around 11:00 Monday night they responded to the accident on New Castle Avenue near Revis Avenue. Upon their arrival, crews found that a pedestrian had been struck by a vehicle and was trapped beneath it. Fire department personnel extricated the individual in less than 5 minutes.

The injured pedestrian, a male estimated to be around 40 years old, sustained injuries to the extremities and head, with potential internal injuries.

The man was transported to Christiana Hospital via Holloway Terrace Fire Company ambulance in critical condition.

New Castle County Paramedics, Holloway Terrace Fire Company, Goodwill Fire Company, and the Delaware State Police responded to the crash
