Tragic Outcome: Young Female Victim Dies Following Shooting in Wilmington

Wilmington Police have confirmed the death of a young woman who was shot late Wednesday night. The incident occurred in the area of 10th and Bennett Streets, just before 10:40 p.m.

Police officers were dispatched to the area of 10th and Bennett Streets, just before 10:40 for reports of gunshots in the area. Arriving officers found the unidentified victim, described as a woman in her thirties, suffering from gunshot wounds.

Rescue crews arrived shortly after the shooting and rushed Katelyn Nance to Christiana Hospital where she tragically succumbed to her injuries.
