Police: Man, Two Juveniles Lead Police On Pursuit After Liquor Store Burglary

On Wednesday morning the Seaford Police received the call at approximately 6:27 A.M. describing suspicious persons as wearing all-black clothing and donning full-face masks.

Officers responded to the Stoney Brooke Apartment complex, where they spotted a subject matching the description carrying a bag and approaching a vehicle. As the officer activated his emergency equipment, the suspect fled through the complex in an attempt to evade law enforcement police said Wednesday.

During the pursuit, witnesses informed officers that three individuals wearing ski masks were seen fleeing from behind the Express Liquor store. With this information, the Seaford officers continued their pursuit of the suspect vehicle, which eventually ended at the end of Mellin Road. The three suspects exited the vehicle and fled into the nearby woods.

Officers from the Seaford Police Department, along with assistance from the Delaware State Police Troop 5, began a search of the surrounding area. During the search, another juvenile suspect was located knocking on doors while still dressed in all-black clothing. He was detained by the authorities.

Subsequently, a Seaford officer spotted an individual identified as Joshua Singh walking along Old Furnace Road. Singh, along with another male juvenile still wearing a ski mask, was taken into custody. Further investigation revealed that the three suspects had burglarized the Express Liquor store, making off with several bottles of liquor and cash.

The incident led to the issuance of arrest warrants for all involved subjects on multiple charges, including Burglary 2nd, Wearing a Disguise During the Commission of a Felony, Possession of Burglary Tools, Theft Under $1500, Criminal Mischief, Resisting Arrest, and Possession of Alcohol Under 21. Additionally, one of the juvenile suspects was charged with various motor vehicle infractions stemming from the pursuit.

Joshua Singh, the adult suspect, was subsequently remanded to Sussex Correctional Institution with a bond set at $11,500. The two juvenile suspects were released into the custody of their parents, pending further legal proceedings.
