Wilmington Police are investigating a shooting that occurred Wednesday evening.
The incident unfolded on East 9th Street in the 300 block, at approximately 7:13 p.m., drawing an immediate response from the Wilmington Police Department.
Officials said a 16-year-old male was found suffering gunshot wounds. The injured teenager was subsequently transported to a nearby hospital, where he is reported to be in stable condition. Authorities have not provided additional information regarding the circumstances surrounding the incident.
