On Saturday Wicomico County Sheriff’s Office responded to reports of a deceased 2-year-old child at a residence located on Jack Drive in Salisbury, Maryland.
Upon arrival, authorities initiated an investigation into the circumstances surrounding the child’s death. Caregivers present at the scene were interviewed in collaboration with the Wicomico County Child Advocacy Center to ascertain the details of this incident according to officials.
Based on their inquiry, law enforcement officials issued charges against a 12-year-old resident of the same household as the 2-year-old victim. The young individual was taken into custody and is currently being held at the Lower Eastern Shore Children’s Center police said.
The charges filed against the 12-year-old include First-Degree Murder, Second-Degree Murder, First-Degree Assault, Second-Degree Assault, and Reckless Endangerment.
