One Dead, One Hospitalized In Separate Shootings

Wilmington Police are investigating two shootings that left one man dead and another hospitalized.

Officials said at around 8:21 on Monday evening, the Wilmington Police Department dispatched officers to a shooting incident that took place within the 400 block of South Claymont Street. The incident involved a 24-year-old male who fell victim to a gunshot wound. After being transported to the hospital in critical condition, the victim succumbed to his injuries.

In a separate incident, at approximately 5:15 a.m. on Tuesday morning, another shooting incident occurred in the 2300 block of Carter Street. This incident involved a 28-year-old male who suffered a gunshot wound. This victim’s condition was reported as stable after being transported to the hospital.
