Escaped Inmate Extradited Back To Delaware

The Delaware Department of Correction (DOC) announced the capture of an inmate who failed to return to prison.

Officials said on September 14, 2023, Vincent Green left the Plummer Community Corrections Center (PCCC) in Wilmington on an approved work pass overnight and did not return. This prompted the issuance of a Warrant for Escape after Conviction.

The Plummer Community Corrections Center (PCCC) is a Level 4 facility under the management of the DOC. It is designed to help offenders transition back into the community, allowing them to leave for work, job-seeking, and approved treatment sessions.

Vincent Green is described as a black male aged 23 and is from Smyrna. He is approximately 5’07” tall, weighs around 150 pounds, and has brown eyes and brown hair.

Vincent Green was incarcerated for violating probation related to Burglary 2nd Degree according to officials.

On September 20, 2023, Green was apprehended by Amtrak Police in Philadelphia and was held in custody in Philadelphia pending extradition to Delaware.  He was extradited to Delaware on October 6 and was committed to Howard R. Young Correctional Institution.
