On Tuesday at approximately 4:08 p.m., Milford Police Officers were on patrol when they observed a Black Honda Accord with an equipment violation traveling westbound on NW 10th Street.
Officers initiated a traffic stop on the vehicle in the Wawa parking lot on N DuPont Blvd. in Milford and made contact with the operator. The operator initially provided officers with a false name but was identified as Andre Daniels, 35 of Milford, according to police.
Officials said the officers observed signs of drug use within the vehicle and obtained consent to search the vehicle from Daniels. Officers located 134.94 grams of cocaine, .49 grams of heroin, 10.42 grams of mushrooms, and $851.00 in cash inside the vehicle police said. Daniels was taken into custody without incident. It was also learned that Daniels had a court capias for his arrest.
Daniels was charged with three counts of Manufacture/Deliver/Possession with Intent to Deliver a Controlled Substance, one count of Possession of a Controlled Substance in a Tier 3 Quantity, one count of Criminal Impersonation, two counts of Possess, Consume a Controlled or Counterfeit Substance, two counts of Possession of Drug Paraphernalia and traffic-related charges.
He was arraigned at the Justice of the Peace Court and was committed to the Department of Correction in default of $45,351.00 secured bail and a $9000 cash bail on his court capias. He was ordered to appear in the Kent County Court of Commons Pleas at a later date.
