Capriotti’s Sandwich Shop recently announced the introduction of house-made gravy and mashed potatoes to its menu for a limited time, responding to popular demand from its customers. The new offerings complement the chain’s Thanksgiving-inspired sandwich, The Bobbie®, which has been recognized as the “Greatest Sandwich in America” according to the company.
The decision to add these items comes after requests from patrons, who have long expressed their desire for a savory gravy to pair with The Bobbie®, a sandwich that features slow-roasted turkey topped with cranberry sauce, handmade stuffing, and mayo. The gravy, described as golden-brown with a smooth texture, is made in-house alongside the whole turkeys that Capriotti’s roasts daily.
What happens when you make fans’ gravy dreams come true? They also ask for mashed potatoes. Capriotti’s is beating them to the punch by also introducing a side of mashed red potatoes to the feast. Both gravy and mashed potato menu options are available now through Jan. 15, 2024.
