State Police Helicopter Locates Lost Man, Dog In Lewes Thursday

The Delaware State Police Aviation Section, operating its Trooper 2 helicopter, successfully conducted a rescue operation in Cape Henlopen State Park, aiding in the safe recovery of an elderly man and his dog Thursday evening.

The incident took place around 7:30 PM, with the pair having been lost in the dense woods for about an hour and a half.

Utilizing their aerial capabilities, the crew of Trooper 2 was instrumental in locating the man and his canine companion from above. This crucial discovery allowed them to guide ground responders through the thick woods to reach the lost individual.
