Burglary Suspect Charged With Resisting Arrest, Released

The Dover Police Department arrested Kevin Johnson, 62, of Dover, following a burglary investigation.

Officials said the investigation began on Saturday afternoon at 2:26 p.m. when Officers were called to They’re Action Figures for the late report of a burglary.

The investigation showed that on Friday, January 5th, at 11:00 a.m., the suspect entered the business which was unsecured, removed a set of keys that were on the sales counter, and left the store police said. A photograph of the suspect was provided to Officers in an attempt to identify him.

On Monday, January 8th, 2024, Patrol Officers observed Johnson in the 200 block of North DuPont Highway and recognized him to be the suspect from They’re Action Figures police said. Officers attempted to take him into custody however he resisted arrest. Once he was taken into custody, he was transported to Dover Police Department where he was processed and arraigned. 

Johnson was released on $1,000 unsecured bond on the following charges:
-Burglary Third Degree
-Theft Under $1,500
-Resisting Arrest
