Burglary Suspects Caught In The Act And Released

Two teenagers have been apprehended by the Delaware State Police following a burglary at Liberty Gas Station in Millsboro. The incident occurred in the early hours of January 29, 2024, at around 2:16 a.m.

Upon receiving a report of a break-in, troopers arrived at the gas station located at 31507 Oak Orchard Road. They found the two suspects, aged 15 and 16, inside the premises. The suspects attempted to flee on foot but were quickly caught following a brief pursuit. A black bookbag containing the stolen items was recovered.

Both teenagers were taken to Troop 4 for processing. The 16-year-old faces multiple charges, including Burglary Third Degree, Theft Over $1500, Wearing a Disguise During the Commission of a Felony, Conspiracy 2nd Degree, and Criminal Mischief Over $1000. Similarly, the 15-year-old has been charged with the same offenses. Following their arraignment by Justice of the Peace Court 2, they were released into the custody of their guardians.
