At approximately 4:35 Thursday afternoon a crash involving a Ceaser Rodney School District School Bus was reported near the intersection of Westville Road and Mahan Corner Road in Marydel.
Emergency services from Marydel, Hartly, Camden Wyoming, along with Delaware State Police Aviation’s Trooper 4 and Kent County Paramedics, were dispatched to the scene.
In total, eight patients were reportedly evaluated by emergency medical services. A number of patients involved in the crash were transported via traditional ground ambulance services for further medical assessment, however, an official number of patients was not available at the time of posting.
Initial reports from the scene indicate that a vehicle and the school bus collided injuring multiple people. Two male subjects at the scene were reportedly bleeding prior to the rescue crews’ arrival.
The exact circumstances of the crash and the condition of those involved are unknown at this time.
