On Wednesday afternoon, at approximately 4:40 Deputies with the Cecil County Sheriff’s Office were dispatched to a residence in the 700 block of Bell Manor Road in western Cecil County for a report of a subject that was struck with an arrow. The arrow was fired from a crossbow, which belonged to an occupant of the residence police said.
The victim, whose identity has not been disclosed, received immediate medical attention from Cecil County Emergency Services paramedics and arriving deputies. The patient was transported to Lancaster General Hospital in Lancaster, Pennsylvania, where they succumbed to their injuries.
The individual who fired the weapon was located at the residence and transported to the Cecil County Sheriff’s Office for further investigative efforts police said. Detectives consulted with the Cecil County States Attorney’s Office and this case remains active. Officials have not said if the victim or the person transported to the Sheriff’s office were male or female.
