Authorities in Cecil County, Maryland, are investigating a homicide that occurred on Monday.
The shooting occurred shortly before 5 p.m., in the unit block of Hickory Lane, which is situated just off Muddy Lane in Elkton.
Initial information from the scene pointed towards a teenager being the victim of a fatal shooting. However, subsequent updates suggest that the victim was a young man. Police have yet to release details surrounding the incident.
There have also been unverified reports suggesting that the shooter may have fled into neighboring Delaware, although this has not been officially confirmed by law enforcement.
