The Middletown Police have arrested 40-year-old Helen Dugan of Middletown for drug offenses following a criminal investigation police said Friday.
Officials said over the course of the last few months, the Middletown Police have been investigating Dugan due to her involvement in the sale of narcotics in and around the Town of Middletown.
On Thursday, with the assistance of the Delaware State Police SORT Team, a search warrant was served at Dugan’s residence where she was taken into custody without incident.
During the search of this residence, a Tier 1 quantity of Methamphetamine was located, along with drug paraphernalia according to police.
In addition, during the execution of this search warrant, a juvenile was present. Dugan was arrested for Drug Dealing – Tier 1 Quantity, Possession of a controlled substance in a Tier 1 Quantity, and possession of drug paraphernalia and Breach of Conditions of Bond – Felony.
Dugan was arraigned by the Justice of the Peace Court 2 and issued a $6,500 unsecured bail.
In May of last year, Dugan was arrested for Drug Dealing – Tier 2 Quantity, 3 counts of Possession of a firearm by a person prohibited, 3 counts of Endangering the welfare of a child, Possession of a controlled substance, and possession of drug paraphernalia. Dugan was arraigned by the Justice of the Peace Court 2 and released on her own recognizance after that arrest.
