Two Injured In Camden Accident Friday, Dogs In The Car

Police are investigating an accident that occurred on South Dupont Highway, near the Waffle House in Camden, at approximately 9:39 this morning.

The incident brought a response from local emergency services, including Camden Wyoming Fire Company, Magnolia Volunteer Fire Company, the Dover Fire Department, Kent County Paramedics, and DSP Aviation, which dispatched Trooper 4 to the scene.

Initial reports indicate that a vehicle was struck in the rear and pushed into a ditch. One subject was initially reported trapped. While en route crews learned that Camden Police were reporting no entrapment.

The first responders on scene canceled the Dover units and the helicopter. Additionally, Command requested that animal control be dispatched to the scene to attend to dogs in one of the vehicles.

Two patients were transported to Kent General Hospital for medical attention. The condition of the individuals and the cause of the accident have not been disclosed.
