Man Airlifted After Crash In Frederica Saturday

Officials are investigating a crash that sent one to the Trauma Center by air late Saturday evening.

The incident, which took place on Midstate Road in Frederica, occurred at approximately 10:13. Crews from the Frederica Volunteer Fire Company, along with Kent County Paramedics, arrived to find a man in his 40s, unresponsive at the scene.

The driver, who was reportedly unrestrained at the time of the accident, sustained injuries that required immediate medical attention. The extent of his injuries is unknown at this time.

Due to the nature of his condition, transport by air was deemed necessary. Delaware State Police Aviation’s Trooper 4 was utilized to airlift the injured man to Christiana Hospital.
