Man found shot Thursday night

Wilmington Police are currently conducting an investigation into a shooting incident that took place in the area of West 5th and North Madison Streets at around 7:36 p.m.

The incident resulted in one individual sustaining gunshot wounds. The victim, a 33-year-old male, was discovered by the authorities and was found to have suffered injuries to his upper torso. Following the initial response, the victim received medical attention on the scene and was subsequently transported to Christiana Hospital by ambulance.

Upon arrival at the hospital, the victim was reported to be in stable condition.

The Wilmington Police Department is actively seeking information and urging anyone with knowledge of the incident to come forward.
