On Saturday morning, at around 11:20 a.m., a motor vehicle collision occurred on Interstate 95 southbound near Route 896.
The incident involved a single overturned tractor-trailer, leading to the driver, a 42-year-old male, being briefly trapped within the cab. Emergency response crews worked to extricate the driver from the wreckage.
Following the driver’s extrication, he was transported to Christiana Hospital in Stanton aboard an Aetna ambulance with New Castle County Paramedics accompanying. He was reported to be in stable condition, suffering from extremity injuries and potential internal injuries.
