Police: Man Wanted After Argument Turned Robbery In Magnolia Arrested

Delaware State Police arrested 35-year-old George Brinkley of Milford, Delaware, for a robbery that occurred last week in Magnolia.

Troopers had been searching in reference to a robbery that they said occurred in Magnolia. Officials said on Friday, April 19, 2024, at approximately 9:05 a.m., troopers responded to a house on Gray’s Lane in Magnolia for a robbery.

The preliminary investigation showed that a man went into a woman’s house, began arguing with her and forcefully stole her property according to authorities.

During the robbery, the man took her phone and threw it, she was not able to call 911. The suspect left the house on foot in an unknown direction. Troopers searched the area but did not find him.

Through investigative means, troopers have identified 35-year-old George Brinkley as the suspect. He is a black male, approximately 6’02” tall, weighing approximately 240 pounds, brown eyes and black hair. He was last seen wearing a white North Face hooded sweatshirt, and blue pants.

On April 26, 2024, Brinkley was taken into custody and transported to Troop 3. He was charged with the below crimes, arraigned by Justice of the Peace Court 2, and committed to the Sussex Correctional Institution on a $1,750 secured bond.
