On Wednesday evening, just before 10:10 PM, emergency crews from the Christiana Fire Company, New Castle County Paramedics, Delaware State Police Aviation’s Trooper 4, along with Delaware State Police were dispatched to the intersection of Wrangle Hill Road and Mabel Lane in Bear, following reports of a severe motor vehicle accident involving multiple patients.
Upon arrival, first responders discovered three individuals injured in the crash. Two of the patients had sustained serious injuries and were pronounced deceased at the scene. A third individual was found trapped within one of the vehicles and required extrication. This patient was subsequently transported to Christiana Hospital and was in critical condition at thetime of transport.
In response to the incident, Delaware State Police closed Wrangle Hill Road near Mabel to investigate the crash.
