SUV Recovered From Water In Milford, Driver Escapes Serious Injury

Emergency crews were dispatched to a crash on Route 1 (Coastal Highway) near Argos Road in Milford early this morning at around 5:50.

The response was due to an accident where a vehicle breached a guardrail and ended up completely submerged in the water.

According to the details available, the northbound lanes of the highway were immediately shut down to facilitate the emergency response.

Rescue crews were able to locate the male driver and pull him from the water. Initial reports indicate that he did not sustain serious injuries in the crash. The SUV involved in the incident has since been removed from the water by Coastal Towing Company.
