Just before 10:30 Saturday evening, emergency crews were alerted to a serious motor vehicle accident at the intersection of Pulaski Highway and Glasgow Avenue.
Upon arrival, crews from the Aetna Hose, Hook, and Ladder Company of Newark discovered that the crash had left one individual trapped in their vehicle.
New Castle County Paramedics spokesperson Jamielee Majewski said paramedics arrived and assisted in treating a 17-year-old male, who sustained non-life-threatening injuries in the crash. At 10:45 crews reported that the patient had been freed from the vehicle. He was then transported to Christiana Hospital in stable condition via Aetna Hose, Hook, and Ladder Company ambulance.
The Delaware State Police are investigating the circumstances surrounding the accident.
