Accident In Newark Sends At Least One To Hospital

File

This afternoon, a serious traffic collision occurred in the unit block of Redwood Court in Newark. Delaware State Police Aviation’s Trooper 4 was reportedly the first to arrive on scene. New Castle County Police, also on scene, subsequently requested an expedited response from a responding Christiana Fire Company ambulance.

The onboard medic from Trooper 4 assisted arriving EMTs with at least one patient, described as a passenger. That patient was transported to the Christiana Emergency Room. Meanwhile, additional Advanced Life Support (ALS) and Basic Life Support (BLS) units were dispatched to the scene to provide further assistance.

At least one patient has been transported in very serious condition. It’s unclear if anyone else was transported at this time.
