Delaware State Police are investigating a crash that sent two men to the trauma center Tuesday.
A severe head-on collision occurred this afternoon at 4:19 PM at the intersection of Midstate Road and Scrap Tavern Road in Felton. Initial reports indicate that the crash involved a high-impact head-on collision and resulted in the entrapment of the drivers.
Emergency response units from Felton, Frederica, and Magnolia were dispatched to the scene, alongside Kent County Paramedics. Delaware State Police Aviation’s Trooper 2 and Trooper 4 helicopters were also deployed.
The entrapped drivers were extricated and airlifted to Christiana Hospital by air. Both individuals sustained serious injuries and are currently receiving medical treatment. A Kent County Paramedic accompanied the more seriously injured patient during the flight north.
