This morning, residents in Chesapeake City, Maryland, were alerted to an incident on Courthouse Point Road in South Chesapeake City. Cecil County Department of Emergency Services advised individuals to remain indoors. Officials said there is no immediate threat to the public and that they are actively managing the situation.
According to the Cecil County Sheriff’s Office, a suspect is currently being sought in the area of Sunnyside Drive in the Harbor View neighborhood near Chesapeake City. The suspect fled on foot after a brief vehicle pursuit of a stolen vehicle.
