Police Identify Man Shot And Killed Wednesday

Wilmington Police are investigating two separate crime scenes where two men were found shot.

Wednesday afternoon two individuals were shot in a possibly related incidents. The first call for just before 2:10. Crews were first alerted when a gunshot victim approached a fire station on New Castle Avenue seeking help.

At the same time, a second report to 911 operators were alerted to a second shooting victim found nearby in the 400 block of South Heald Street. . Both victims, suffering from multiple gunshot wounds, were transported to a local trauma center for treatment.

Police said they located 19-year-old Kymere Allen. who had succumbed to his injuries, and an additional 19-year-old male gunshot victim, who was transported to the hospital in stable condition.

The circumstances surrounding the shootings, including whether they were connected, remain under investigation
