Two Firefighters Injured In Monday Morning House Fire

The Delaware State Fire Marshal’s Office is currently investigating a house fire in Odess., that occurred early this morning.

Officials said at approximately 11:30 this morning The Odessa Fire Company was alerted to a house fire in the unit block of South Main Street in South St. Georges. Upon arrival the Fire Department found smoke and fire coming from the residence.  Multiple Agencies were called to assist with extinguishment.

State Fire Marshal Deputies are currently on scene conducting the Investigation.

One Firefighter was transported to ChristianaCare Emergency Department with unknown injuries. A second Firefighter was treated at the scene for a minor burn. No civilian injuries were reported.

Damage to the residence is significant.
