Two Seriously Injured In Separate Accidents, Both Go By Air

Two separate traffic accidents in Delaware on Friday afternoon have left two individuals in critical condition, both requiring airlifts to trauma centers via Delaware State Police’s Aviation.

At approximately 2:22 p.m., a motorcycle was involved in a collision at the intersection of Marl Pit Road and DuPont Parkway in Middletown. Responding crews attended to the motorcyclist, who was then airlifted to a trauma center by Delaware State Police’s Aviation’s Trooper 4.

Earlier in the day, at around 1:45 p.m., emergency responders were dispatched to the intersection of Laurel Road and Lowes Crossing Road in Millsboro following reports of a collision involving a box truck and another vehicle. The T-bone-style collision sent both vehicles off the road.

An occupant of the vehicle involved was airlifted to a New Castle County trauma center by Delaware State Police Aviation’s Trooper 2.

Both patients are reported to be in critical condition.
