Weeks-Long Investigation Ends With Two Released On OR

Officials said on May 17, 2024, following a weeks-long investigation into drug sales, Newark police executed a search warrant at a residence in the 200-block of East Park Place.  During a search of the residence, police seized more than six pounds of marijuana, mushrooms, LSD, cocaine, and Adderall according to police.

Two residents of the house, Patrick Coyle, 20, (Left) of Weare, NH and Andrew Smith, 19, (Right) of Bermuda, were arrested.

Both suspects were transported to Newark Police headquarters where they were each charged with:

  • Possession With Intent to Deliver a Controlled Substance in a Tier 3 Quantity
  • Possession of Controlled Substance in a Tier 3 Quantity
  • Possession With Intent to Deliver a Controlled Substance (2 counts)
  • Possession of Controlled Substance in a Tier 1 Quantity (2 counts)
  • Conspiracy Second Degree
  • Possession of Adderall
  • Possession of Drug Paraphernalia
  • Possession of Cocaine (Smith only)

They appeared before Justice of the Peace Court #2 by video and were released on their own recognizance.
