The Delaware State Police are investigating a shooting that occurred on Sunday morning in a Royal Farms parking lot in Wilmington.
Officials said on June 9, 2024, at approximately 11:17 a.m., troopers responded to the Royal Farms located at 1031 South Market Street in Wilmington, for a report of a shooting.
While responding to the scene, troopers received reports of a 20-year-old man suffering from a gunshot wound at a nearby hospital. The preliminary investigation showed that the victim was in the Royal Farms parking lot when he was struck by gunfire from an unknown suspect according to police. The victim was taken to the hospital by a private vehicle. He remains hospitalized in stable condition.
