Just before 7:15 Saturday morning, emergency responders from the Mill Creek Fire Company, along with New Castle County Paramedics and Police responded to the Marshallton and Green development off of Capital Trail for reports of a stabbing.
Upon arrival, first responders discovered a male victim in his 40s who was suffering from multiple lacerations. The victim was located inside a vehicle, found some distance from the initial site of the incident according to sources familiar with the incident. Details on how he ended up in the vehicle or the circumstances surrounding the altercation remain unclear.
The injured man received initial treatment at the scene before being transported to the local trauma center. His current condition has not been disclosed.
Authorities continue to investigate the incident.
