Pedestrian Reportedly Struck In Townsend Tuesday Night

Emergency response crews from the Townsend Fire Company responded to 801 Blackbird Landing Road in Townsend, following reports of a subject suffering from an unknown medical condition. Crews were also told that there may be a domestic incident at the scene.

Upon arrival, crews discovered that a pedestrian had been struck. Responders requested the assistance of New Castle County Paramedics and Delaware State Police Aviation’s Trooper 4.

Although initial plans involved airlifting the patient, the individual was ultimately transported by ground ambulance from the Townsend Fire Company, with New Castle County Paramedics accompanying. The condition of the patient remains unknown at this time.

Delaware State Police are investigating the incident
