Suspect Sought In Maryland Mall Shooting Arrested In Delaware In December

Authorities are seeking public assistance in locating Wesley Larry Lyons Jr., who is wanted in connection with a recent shooting incident in Bel Air, Maryland.

Officials said on Sunday, June 2, 2024, at approximately 4 p.m., Lyons allegedly discharged several rounds inside Harford Bounce at Harford Mall, striking a 42-year-old male victim in the leg and hand. The suspect fled the scene and is currently at large.

Lyons, a 35-year-old male from Edgewood, Maryland, has known addresses in Edgewood, Rosedale, and Middle River areas in Baltimore County, and may have connections in Delaware. He is a convicted felon with a history of drug and firearm offenses.

The primary investigators on this case are Sergeant Henry Marchesani and Corporal Detective Sam Vivino. Authorities are urging anyone with information on Lyons’ whereabouts to contact Metro Crime Stoppers. Tips leading to felony charges and an arrest may be eligible for a cash reward of up to $2,000. Delaware State Police arrested Lyons in December 2023 for felony gun and drug charges following a traffic stop in Newark. During the stop, a search revealed a loaded firearm and approximately 120 grams of cocaine. Lyons was charged with multiple felonies and committed to Howard R. Young Correctional Institution. It’s unclear when Lyons was released and if he is still facing charges in Delaware

Authorities urge anyone with information about Lyons or the Bel Air shooting to come forward to help ensure public safety and bring the suspect to justice. There is a $2000 reward for his capture.
