Just before 12:15. Wednesday afternoon, emergency crews responded to an injury accident in the 4700 block of Killens Pond Road in Felton.
The incident reportedly involved a collision between a dump truck and an SUV, resulting in potential injuries to multiple individuals, including several children.
Responding units included rescue crews from Felton, Frederica, Harrington, Houston, and Camden-Wyoming. and Kent County Paramedics were also on the scene. Delaware State Police Aviation’s Trooper 2, Trooper 4, and Christiana Care’s LifeNet 6-4 helicopter responded
Several patient patients have been transported by ground ambulance to Bayhealth Hospital, Kent Campus in Dover. Trooper 2’s medic is on board one of the ambulances to assist. Trooper 4 has one to AI. The nature of the injuries is unknown at this time.
Killens Pond Road is currently closed.
