At around 9:00 Thursday morning, rescue crews from the Hockessin Fire Company responded to the 1700 block of Brackenville Road in Hockessin following reports of a motor vehicle accident with possible entrapment. Upon arrival, first responders confirmed there was no entrapment.
Crews found a woman involved in the accident suffering from an extremity injury at the scene. She was treated at the scene and transported by Hockessin Fire Company ambulance to Christiana Hospital.
As a result of the crash, Brackenville Road is currently closed from Millcreek Road to Valleyview Road. Drivers are advised to seek alternative routes.
