Rollover Sends One To Trauma Center By Air Friday Morning

At approximately 3:41 Friday morning, emergency services were dispatched to Summit Bridge Road at the Rt. 301 offramp following reports of a motor vehicle collision involving a rollover.

New Castle County Paramedics, Volunteer Hose Company of Middletown, and Delaware State Police Aviation responded to the crash. On arrival, paramedics found a 35-year-old male patient outside the rolled vehicle. The patient sustained significant injuries to his torso and extremities.

The patient was treated at the scene before being transported to Christiana Hospital in Newark via Delaware State Police Aviation helicopter Trooper 4, accompanied by New Castle County Paramedics. At the time of transport, the patient was reported to be in critical condition.

The Delaware State Police are currently investigating the circumstances surrounding the incident.
