The Delaware State Police are investigating a robbery that occurred early Tuesday morning at Red Roof Inn and Suites in New Castle.
Officials said on July 2, 2024, at approximately 3:18 a.m., troopers responded to an armed robbery at Red Roof Inn and Suites, located at 1612 North Dupont Highway in New Castle. The preliminary investigation showed that an unknown black male and unknown black female suspects entered the business and demanded money.
The male suspect then jumped over the counter and threatened the desk clerk with a knife. The clerk complied and the suspects ran away. No one was hurt during the incident.
The male suspect was last seen wearing all black clothing and the female was last seen wearing a white t-shirt, black mask, and a hat.
