The Delaware State Police have updated a story that First State Update brought you this morning.
Authorities are investigating an armed robbery that occurred this morning at a Walgreens in Glasgow. At approximately 8:07 a.m., troopers responded to a report of an armed robbery at the Walgreens located at 2719 Pulaski Highway.
Officials said the preliminary investigation showed that an unknown black male suspect, armed with a firearm, approached a Walgreens employee and demanded money from the safe. The employee complied, and the suspect fled in an unknown direction with an undisclosed amount of cash.
Although officials did not mention that an employee was restrained by the suspect, sources familiar with the investigation tell FSU that at least one employee was tied up during the incident.
Police searched the area, however, they did not locate the suspect. He is described as a black male wearing dark-colored clothing.
