Two Teens Narrowly Avoid Being Shot In Dover

The Dover Police Department is conducting an investigation following a shooting incident that occurred on Sunday evening, resulting in damage to a vehicle. Officers were dispatched to the scene at 6:26 p.m., where they made contact with the victims, a 16-year-old male and a 17-year-old male, both residents of Dover.

Master Corporal Ryan Schmid, the Public Information Officer for the Dover Police Department, provided details about the incident. According to Schmid, the two teenagers were inside a vehicle on South Kirkwood Street when they were approached by an unidentified black male. The suspect then fired shots at the vehicle before fleeing the scene. No injuries were reported from this shooting.

The police department has launched an investigation to identify and apprehend the suspect involved in the incident. At this stage, the Dover Police Department has not disclosed any leads or further information about the suspect.

Schmid urged anyone with information related to the shooting to come forward and assist the authorities.
