On Monday, July 8, 2024, at 7:41 p.m., officers from the New Castle County Division of Police responded to Glasgow Park following reports of shots fired. Upon arrival, officers were directed by witnesses to the basketball court area where the shots were reportedly heard. However, no victim was located at the scene according to police.
Eyewitnesses said they heard what sounded like automatic gunfire before everyone in the area of the basketball courts scattered. Officials did not say if they found a crime scene at the park.
