A 15-year-old from Millsboro, has been arrested following a shooting incident that led to multiple felony charges.
Officials said on August 13, 2024, around 12:12 p.m., Delaware State Police responded to a report of a shooting that had occurred the previous night on Blue Dolphin Lane in Millsboro. The investigation showed that the suspect, during an argument with another teenager, pointed a gun at the victim before firing a shot inside the house as he left police said. None of the four juveniles present in the house were injured.
Following the investigation, detectives identified and arrested the suspect. He was taken to Troop 7, where he was charged with possession of a firearm during the commission of a felony, four counts of reckless endangering in the first degree, and aggravated menacing. The suspect was arraigned at Justice of the Peace Court 3 and subsequently committed to the Stevenson House Detention Center on a $100,000 cash bond.
