Delaware State Police have arrested 53-year-old Timothy Halsey of Bear, Delaware, for a bank robbery and carjacking that occurred at the Franklin Mint Federal Credit Union in Bear on Saturday morning.
Officials said on July 27, 2024, at approximately 10:00 a.m., troopers responded to the Franklin Mint Federal Credit Union at 1102 Quintilio Drive in Bear for a reported robbery. Preliminary investigations revealed that a white male suspect entered the bank and presented a demand note. The suspect then ransacked the property of bank employees before fleeing on foot with an undisclosed amount of cash. After leaving the bank, the suspect ran across the parking lot and approached a 2020 gray Honda Odyssey minivan, which was stopped in front of Aha South Indian Cuisine at 1247 Quintilio Drive.
