Bicyclist Airlifted After Crash With Motorcycle

On Sunday afternoon, Delaware State Police began investigating a serious collision involving a motorcycle and a bicycle on Montchanin Road, near Brendle Lane. The crash, which occurred at approximately 3:15 p.m., left a 67-year-old male cyclist with serious injuries.

Emergency responders from New Castle County Paramedics, the Talleyville Fire Company, and Delaware State Police Aviation were dispatched to the scene following reports of the collision. Upon arrival, they found one patient, the cyclist suffering from head injuries and possible internal injuries.

The injured cyclist was treated on-site by New Castle County Paramedics before being airlifted by Delaware State Police Aviation to Christiana Hospital in Stanton. The cyclist is currently listed in serious but stable condition.
