Teen Shot Execution Style During Broad Daylight Thursday

Wilmington Police are actively investigating a shooting that took place just after 3:00 p.m. on Thursday afternoon. Officers responded to the scene at the intersection of 2nd Street and Franklin Street, where they discovered a male suffering from multiple gunshot wounds.

The victim, identified as an 18-year-old male, was transported to the Christiana Hospital Trauma Center with at least one gunshot to the head according to sources familiar with the incident. Authorities said that the teen is currently in critical condition.

The circumstances surrounding the shooting remain unclear, and police are urging anyone with information to come forward as the investigation continues.
