Fire Rips Through Kent County Home Tuesday Morning

Early this morning, fire crews were dispatched to a working structure fire in the 100 block of West Front Street in the town of Frederica.

The call came in around 5:46 a.m., reporting a fire at a two-story residential home. Upon arrival, crews encountered flames already through the roof of the building, indicating a fully involved structure fire.

Firefighters from Frederica, Magnolia, Bowers, Little Creek, Felton, South Bowers, Milford, along with Kent County Paramedics, responded to the scene. With the assistance of mutual aid companies, crews were able to get a knock on the fire and bring it under control. Despite the heavy flames throughout the structure, no injuries were reported.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.
