Homicide Detectives Investigating After Vehicle Found In Dover Ditch

Delaware State Police are investigating a homicide in Dover that left one man dead.

Officials said on September 16, 2024, at approximately 6:00 p.m., troopers responded to the 400 block of East Denney’s Road for a report of a vehicle in a ditch.

When troopers arrived, they found a 45-year-old man in the vehicle suffering from a gunshot wound. The victim was pronounced dead at the scene. His name is being withheld until his family is notified.

The Homicide Unit is actively investigating this incident.
