On Monday, September 23, 2024, at approximately 6:09 PM, a fire was reported at the playground in Brookhaven Park on Green Ridge Road.
Firefighters from the Mill Creek Fire Department responded quickly that evening to extinguish the flames, however, the fire caused structural damage to the playground equipment. The State Fire Marshal’s Office is investigating the incident in collaboration with the New Castle County Department of Police.
