Gunning Bedford Middle School posted a notice on its website regarding social media threats.
Dear Gunning Bedford Families:
Last night we were made aware of rumors from Gunning Bedford parents regarding a threatening social media post that is impacting schools nationwide and it was reported to our Safety and Security team.
The reported post was taken seriously and investigated by both Delaware State Police and Colonial’s Safety and Security Team and deemed not credible therefore classes and all activities will take place as scheduled today.
As always, we promise to keep you informed. In the meantime, talk to your children about the seriousness of making threats of any kind at any place. If they see something, say something to a person in authority, and any information that can help with this investigation should be reported immediately.
Parents tell FSU that their children are telling them that law enforcement is at the school.
